Susan Tankersley Family Therapy LLC

Hi! My name is Taylor and that is my therapy dog, Cookie. I graduated from Converse College with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and got my Bachelor’s from the University of South Carolina. Cookie graduated from therapy dog school in 2014. We both hope to make the therapy room a comfortable, relaxed, and productive environment for everyone. I specialize in working with adolescents, couples, and adults.

My clients often first come in feeling “stuck,” not feeling in touch with themselves, and wanting to make a change. Whether it be a relationship that needs help, trauma that needs healing, or a struggle to cope with anxiety or depression, people frequently aren’t sure how to navigate the waters between where and who they are, and who they want to be/the life they want to have. Their goals are to heal, reconnect, and often times make a change.

There are many ways I can be of assistance. I am a level 1 Gottman trained clinician that specializes in helping couples heal, communicate, and gain intimacy again. I also am experienced in helping people meet goals they’ve long put off, gain coping skills they need to be successful, and help get to a place of healing from trauma in their lives. I also have many years experience in helping young adults successfully navigate the challenges of adolescence

Give me a call (or a text) today to take the first step towards bridging the gap. Living in emotional pain, a damaged relationship, or in battle with yourself is draining and difficult, but does not need to be permanent. Meeting with me is step one on the path to being your best self, meeting your goals, and having healthy relationships.
